Calibre Safety Services provides specialist Safety and Training Services to the resources, construction and manufacturing industries, with a primary goal to help clients reduce their incident rates and meet their statutory obligations.

We are seeking applications from highly motivated and eager individuals to fill the role of Safety Advisor providing OS&H support to Project Management team members and contractors in the field.

The role involves:

• Provide safety advice to Frontline Management and employees

• Provide assistance with the development of specific safety requirements to Contractors for development of JHAs

• Carry out workplace inspections/ hazard reviews and identify practices and conditions that need improvement
• Assess and report on compliance with project PPE requirements
• Take control of serious incident scenes in conjunction with contractor Safety Advisor or Supervisor, to ensure that the area is not disturbed
• Maintain records of inductions, incidents, hazards, all SHE registers, Vehicle/ Equipment Registers, Inspections/ Audits
• Ensure Contractors have suitable injury management and rehabilitation systems in place for injured employees

To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:

• A minimum of 3-5 years field experience in construction and Mining Safety roles

• Recognised training in OS&H systems, Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation
• Knowledge of basic Rigging, Dogging, Scaffolding, and Cranes
• Experience in HV or electrical is desired
• Microsoft Office skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to maintain composure under all circumstances
• Ownership, responsibility and accountability for the tasks undertaken
