Safety Services Coordinators

Calibre Safety Services provides specialist Safety and Training Services to the resources, construction and manufacturing industries, with a primary goal to help clients reduce their incident rates and meet their statutory obligations.

The role involves:
  • Assists the OSH Resource Manager Projects with preparation of risk assessments and risk review forums for projects.
  • Assists in the review of Contractor SHMP and systems against the OS&H requirements of the Calibre Project SHMP and Client Systems.
  • Maintaining a day-to-day liaison with project senior safety advisors to determine the status of site issues/problems and progress towards OS&H targets.
  • Conducts pre-qualification audit/assessments.
  • Carries out site audits against project OS&H plans and compliance with client safety systems.
To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:
  • Minimum 5 years plus experience in Safety and Health Management positions.
  • Formal Qualifications in OS&H Management or currently studying to acquire formal qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years OS&H experience in construction or mining.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of State and Territory OS&H Legislation, code of practice etc.
  • Ability to translate Australian Standards requirements into Project Safety Management Systems.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment principles and incident evaluation.
  • Certificate IV, Workplace Assessment and Training.
  • Experience in the development and use of statistical reporting methods.
  • Familiar with IronSafe standards and their application.
