Ray Munro, Executive Chairman
- Ray is a cofounder and Executive Chairman of Calibre Global. Ray has been involved in the construction industry for the past 37 years, having worked for 11 years in South Africa as Project Manager, Construction Manager and Managing Director prior to his appointment to senior project roles with Australian Engineering Consultancies. Ray has been responsible for Project Directorship of a number of successful resource development projects in Australia. Ray is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Rod Baxter, Managing Director
- Rod was appointed Managing Director of Calibre Global in June 2009 and has 20 years experience in the global resources sector. Rod is also currently a Director of Murchison Metals.
Rod was previously Managing Director of AIM/ASX listed diversified miner, Consolidated Minerals Ltd. Prior to Consolidated Minerals, Rod worked for Anglo American and Anglo Platinum in various senior executive and business development roles. Rod has a PhD and MBA qualifications.
Ken Nolan, General Manager, Calibre Safety Services / Safety & Rescue Australia
- Ken has over 20 years experience in mining, smelting and refining with Rio Tinto and BHP as well as 12 years experience in emergency services. Ken leads both the Calibre Safety and SRA teams. Ken has formal qualifications in OHS and auditing and is a Chartered Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia (CFSIA).
John Luck, Business Development Manager, Safety & Rescue Australia / Calibre Safety Services
- Recognised as one of the foremost safety and training experts in Australia, John has over 25 years experience in the provision of safety and training services. John was instrumental in establishing Safety & Rescue Australia (SRA) and now acts as Business Development Manager for SRA/Calibre Safety Services.
Doug Rogers, Manager - Health & Safety, Calibre Safety Services
- With over 30 years of OS&H experience, Doug is a highly regarded member of the Australasian and international safety practitioners community. Doug is also a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia (FSIA).
Jamie Copeland, Operations Manager, Safety & Rescue Australia

Jamie is a specialist in the provision of technical consultancy services for working at heights, confined spaces, emergency response and provides supervision and guidance to the SRTA Training team. Jamie is a qualified Safety Practitioner with 13 years experience in the mining and safety industries, mainly in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Brian MacDonald, Director

Brian MacDonald is a qualified Civil Engineer, Company Director and Manager with over 25 years experience in the fields of mining and resources, construction and project management, corporate company leadership and management.
Brian is currently a Director of Connect Resource Services Pty Ltd, and Calibre Global. He was formerly Managing Director of Vale Australia Pty Ltd, the Australian subsidiary of the world's second largest resources company, following its acquisition of the former assets of AMCI Australia, and AMCI Australia Pty Ltd, where he was responsible for leading the company's substantial development and growth in the Coal and Iron Ore sectors.
Brian previously occupied senior Executive roles with MIM Holdings Ltd, and Thiess Pty Ltd in Australia (Australia's largest contract mine operator). Brian has substantial industry representative experience including Directorships with Queensland Resources Council Ltd (and its predecessor the Queensland Minerals Council), the peak coal industry representative body, the Australian Coal Association Ltd, and the industry's peak research body, Australian Coal Research Ltd.
Anne McIntyre, Director

Anne is an accountant and financial executive with extensive experience in capital raising, deal structuring and transaction execution within the resourcing industry. She was recently CFO for AMCI Australia during the period of development of a significant portfolio of coal operations, where she had responsibility for sourcing finance for the development of the business, negotiation and execution of mergers and acquisitions and legal matters for the business.
In addition to the funding arrangements, Anne also managed the creation and execution of new joint venture developed by AMCI, a total of 9 new joint ventures and joint venture relationships in 3 years.'
Previous roles included General Manager Finance & Commercial at MIM Holdings' Coal business unit where she had responsibility for finance, rail and port services for all coal operations. Anne also spent 9 years in various roles at BHP including in taxation and corporate accounting and was selected to participate in the mergers and acquisition strategy group. Before joining BHP, Anne had 6 years with ARCO in coal marketing during the development of their Australian coal business.
Andrew Boyd, Director

Andrew is a Director of Connect Resource Services. He is a mining engineer with 15 years of mining operational, project and business development experience.
Currently a Director of Connect Resource Services, Andrew's previous role was Area Manager for Thiess Pty Ltd. In this role, Andrew had dual responsibility for the off-site management of three of Thiess' large contract coal mining operations as well as providing a more strategic view towards longer term business objectives and the pursuit of new business opportunities.
During his time with Thiess, Andrew managed the successful bid and contract negotiations for three large coal mining contracts - the Curragh North, Tarong and Lake Vermont projects. Andrew previously gained operational and technical experience in a number of Thiess' open cut and underground coal mines.
Andrew brings to Calibre a strong mining operational background and an excellent knowledge of mining cost drivers, cost control and contract operations.
Alex T. Krueger

Alex T. Krueger is Managing Director of First Reserve Corporation, joining in 1999. Alex's responsibilities include investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy. He is involved in investment activities in all areas of the worldwide energy industry, with particular expertise in the natural resources sector. Alex is also Chairman of First Reserve's Development Committee.
Prior to joining First Reserve, Alex worked in the Energy group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in Houston. [Mr. Krueger] holds two B.S. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, one in Chemical Engineering and one in Finance and Statistics from the Wharton School.
Alex D. Williams

Alex D. Williams is a Director of First Reserve Corporation. His responsibilities include investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy, with particular emphasis on the reserves and infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining First Reserve, Alex was a Director at 3i plc, the international private equity firm, where he worked for nine years across numerous jurisdictions. Prior to 3i plc, he worked at J.P. Morgan in the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets groups. Mr. Williams holds an Masters in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
Calibre Safety in conjunction with Safety & Rescue Australia currently has a team of over 45 safety, environment and quality professionals deployed throughout Australia and outsourcing to general industry.
